Psychotherapist
Fatima Marsden is a qualified integrative psychotherapist with a background in Psychology. She is a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and of the BPS (British Psychological Society).
Fatima works with individuals (adults over 18) and couples in an empathic and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel safe enough to open up and work towards a positive outcome. After 15 years of studying and working with human behaviour she can help clients who are experiencing unwanted emotions such as anxiety, sadness, fear, anger, shame, guilt (to name but a few). Her experience shows that almost certainly these emotions lead clients to unwanted behaviours such as withdrawal, poor communication and harsh self-criticism that makes their self-esteem decrease. Consequently, these may affect peoples’ relationships such as romantic relationships, relationship with work colleagues, with friends or with family members.
If this is what is happening to you, you are in the right place. She will guide you through this unhelpful way to think, feel and behave and then you can move towards a more fulfilling life, making peace with yourself and others. During your therapeutic process you will discover more about yourself, your strengths, your values, who you are, how to have better relationships and much more. For that, Fatima uses different approaches; CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person Centred, Psychodynamic and others.
Sessions are 50 minutes for individuals and 60 minutes for couples.
