Psychotherapy
We can be successful, intelligent and very capable individuals, but still feel that there’s something not quite right… stressful career, anxiety, loss of identity, burnout, disconnection. Do you really feel alive or just as though you are existing, getting through one day to the next? Therapy can help us not only through the big life transitions and traumas, but can help us to really focus on what we really want and to live more fulfilling lives.
We don’t have to accept that ‘this is it’… whether it’s job stress, dating disasters, relationship problems, anxiety, loss of confidence, coping with chronic pain or the struggles of modern parenting. Melanie offers a safe, compassionate space where together you can look at where you are now, where you want to be and to explore how to get there.
Melanie is an integrative counsellor she believes that different methods will suit different people. Melanie uses a range of strategies to suit each clients’ unique needs and preferences in therapy. This may include for some people, CBT, mindfulness, gestalt methods or body-mind-feeling. She aims to provide each client a tailored psychological tool kit to take away with them and put into practice in their daily lives.
Melanie has a background in education, working with families and children, so she has a particular interest in supporting parents and women through life transitions.
